Biography

As Federal Councillor and Head of the Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy, and Communications (DETEC), Dr. Albert Rösti plays a key role in shaping Switzerland’s policies on sustainability, mobility, and digital transformation.

With a PhD in agronomy from ETH Zurich and an MBA from the University of Rochester, USA, he combines scientific expertise with economic acumen. His career spans high-level policy roles, including Secretary-General of the Economic Directorate of the Canton of Bern and Director of the Swiss Milk Producers.

From 2011 to 2022, he served as a National Council member and led the Swiss People’s Party (SVP) as its president from 2016 to 2020. Since 2023, he has been at the forefront of Switzerland’s energy transition, infrastructure development, and digitalization, navigating the country through complex global challenges.

Biography

Christine Antlanger-Winter is Regional Director for Austria & Switzerland at Google, a role she has held since May 2023. Previously, she served as Country Director for Google Austria (2018) and interim Country Director for Google Switzerland (2022).

Before Google, she was CEO of Mindshare, leading digital strategies from 2003. She holds a degree in Media Technology & Design from the University of Applied Sciences Hagenberg and has served as President of IAB Austria and Secretary-General of IAA Austria since 2018.

A strong advocate for diversity, inclusivity, and trust-based leadership, Christine champions innovation and excellence in the digital landscape of Austria and Switzerland.

Eveline Saupper

Biography

Dr. Eveline Saupper is a Swiss attorney and certified tax expert with extensive experience in corporate law and governance. She earned her Doctor of Law from the University of St. Gallen, was admitted to the Zurich Bar, and holds a diploma as a Swiss tax expert.

She built her career at Homburger AG, serving as a partner from 1994 to 2014 and Of Counsel until 2017, before establishing her own law office. Previously, she worked at Peat Marwick Mitchell (KPMG) and Baker & McKenzie in Chicago.

Dr. Saupper holds key board positions at Clariant AG, Georg Fischer AG (Vice Chair & Lead Director), Forbo Holding AG, Stäubli Holding AG, and Tourismus Savognin Bivio Albula AG. She also sits on foundation boards for UZH Foundation and Piz Mitgel Val Surses Foundation.

Cirillo

Biography

Roberto Cirillo has been the Chief Executive Officer of Swiss Post since April 2019. Born in Zurich and raised in Ticino, he holds Swiss and Italian citizenship and is fluent in German, French, Italian, Spanish, and English.

He earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich and began his career at McKinsey & Company in Zurich. Cirillo later served as CEO of the Optegra hospital group and held executive roles at Sodexo SA, including CEO of its operations in France.

Under his leadership, Swiss Post has been recognized as the world’s best postal service multiple times. Cirillo emphasizes the importance of a sustainable and customer-oriented approach, aiming to ensure that Swiss Post remains a vital part of Switzerland’s identity

Biography

Dr. Daniel Bossard has been CEO of Bossard Group since April 2019, representing the seventh generation of the family-led company, founded in 1831 in Zug, Switzerland.

He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, focusing on technology management, and previously worked as a consultant at Accenture. Since joining Bossard in 2000, he has held key leadership roles, including CEO of Bossard Denmark (2003–2006) and Sales & Marketing Manager (2006–2008). From 2009 to 2018, he led Northern and Eastern Europe, driving growth and profitability.

Since 2021, Dr. Bossard has also served as a Board Member at Schweiter Technologies AG, contributing his expertise in industrial strategy and innovation.

Markus Gross
Professor of Computer Science, ETH Zurich, Head of the Computer Graphics Labs Chief Scientist Walt Disney Studios and Director DisneyResearch|Studios
Biography

Prof. Dr. Markus Gross is a Professor of Computer Science at ETH Zurich and Chief Scientist at The Walt Disney Studios, where he leads DisneyResearch|Studios. A pioneer in computer graphics, animation, and AI, he has authored over 430 publications and holds 30+ patents.

He earned his Ph.D. from Saarland University and has received numerous awards, including two Academy Sci-Tech Awards. As a Fellow of ACM and EUROGRAPHICS, he has co-founded several tech startups bridging research and industry. His innovations continue to shape the future of visual computing and AI-driven storytelling.

Alexander Ilic
Co-Founder & Executive Director, ETH AI Center
Biography

Alexander Ilic is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the ETH AI Center at ETH Zurich. He completed his habilitation at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), holds a PhD from ETH Zurich, and an MSc from TU Munich. A Swiss-German deep tech entrepreneur, researcher, and investor, he co-founded the computer vision start-up Dacuda, which was acquired by Magic Leap in 2017. Following the acquisition, he led Magic Leap Switzerland, establishing R&D centers in Zurich and Lausanne. Recognized as "Entrepreneur of the Year" by HSG in 2011 and EY in 2012, he has also received the Swiss Economic Award. At the ETH AI Center, Ilic focuses on advancing AI research and fostering collaboration between academia and industry.

Biography

Born in 1961, Bernard Maissen studied German, history, and journalism at the University of Fribourg. He began his journalism career in 1987 at the Bündner Zeitung and joined the Swiss Telegraphic Agency (SDA) in 1992, serving as a correspondent and later as editor-in-chief and executive board member until 2017. From 2003 to 2005, he was editor-in-chief of Radio Rumantsch at SRG. In May 2018, he became Deputy Director and Head of the Media Division at OFCOM, and in July 2020, he was appointed Director General. Maissen has also been involved with the Swiss School of Journalism and the Federal Media Commission. He is fluent in Romansh, German, French, and has a good knowledge of Italian and English.
